Blizzard Blog Hop 2011

We really want to thank House Hold 6 Diva for her blog hop and the Blisdom Conference in Nashville Sponsored by Blissfully Domestic! How fun to meet you all in this way. Please go over to HouseHold6Diva to join the bloghop. It closes sunday January 30,

The story of how we (Radarette, Red Leg & Sapperette) met is a special one :) All three of our Soldiers were in Basic Training at the same time. However, they were not all at the same "boot camp." Sapperette & Red Leg's soldiers met at Basic Training at Fort Knox and became instant battle buddies. Those two soldiers met up with Radarette's soldier at Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, which is where OUR paths finally crossed :) If you want to read more about this amazing journey, read THIS

Our Blog started as a way for us to share our stories, but as we have begun this journey, we really want to have input from other spouses too! We want to make Tap in Thursday's something every military spouse can come to look at for information on her next location. We want it to be an outlet for families to share their favorite restaurant on base. It's essentially a sisterhood and we want you to celebrate with us!

Below are our names and backgrounds.
Radarette - Hi! I am the proud wife of a Signal Corp Officer. We have lived at Ft. Gordon, GA, Ft. Sill, OK, and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I was an independent career driven woman until I decided to follow my husband around the world, but I wouldn't trade our life for anything. My husband is currently deployed to Iraq and I am back in Colorado with my family...and back to my career girl ways. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with.  Although I've only been an Army Wife for a year and a half, I've already been FRG leader and with the help of the other lovely ladies on this site I've learned a lot about the Army and what, exaclty, being an Officer's wife really means.  You may also find me at Oaks and Roosters.

Red Leg - Hello, Milspouse blogging world. I am a proud Airborne FA Officer Wife. I enjoy the sounds of artillery... unless it's at 3am. I have lived in Ft. Benning, GA, Ft. Sill, OK, travelled to Camp Casey, Republic of Korea and Ft. Drum, NY. Training experiences include, OCS, FA School, Airborne School and soon to be Ranger School. I have survived my first non-combat deployment and am currently going through our first combat deployment.

Sapperette - Hello there! I am a proud Sapperette Officer Wife. I am a mother to a beautiful Lily. I have lived in Ft. Benning, GA, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and Ft. Richardson, AK. Training experiences include; OCS, Engineering School and plenty of PCS moves. I am currently going through my first deployment. Please email me anytime with any questions you may have. You may also find me at My Family Blog.

  2. Great blog!!!

I would like to run a series of stories on my blog called Deployment Stories. It can be from any branch of the military, and from soldiers or the spouses on the homefront. It can be about anything, but I would prefer them to be upbeat stories, not sad, though you can write about hard times, just end it in a positive note.

Moms Around The World. Stories about you as a mom if you are of a different heritage than American. Stories you've found about moms in other countries other than America (give author credits). Stories of how the moms live, how they raise their kids, traditions, morals, etc.

So if you would like to guest blog for me on these, or another topic, please let me know. It’s a good way to cross promote blogs!
